Dory

1934               Steel composite motor boat, converted to a butty in 1951, along with Dace.

                      It is now a motor again, with the original stern shape restored.

                       Possibly paired with Perch, but this is not confirmed. 

1/1/1949          Purchased by BTC (D&IWE), NW Division fleet

c1952              Converted to butty (unpowered) by partially rebuilding the stern

1/10/1953        Passed to BTC (BTW)

3/10/1958        Re-Registered at Northwich No 65

1/1/1963          Passed to BWB

by 1965           Transferred to maintenance fleet

by 1980           sunk, abandoned

1993               To Bath Stone Co  and renamed ELAINE after the wife of the owner of the company. Restored by Warwickshire Flyboat Co, Stockton, as a cargo carrying motor boat, with Armstrong Siddeley AS2 engine

1996                To private ownership and name reverted to DORY maintained as cargo carrying boat.

2021                Winner of the HNBC Hemelryk Award
